I was disappointed that we didn't learn too much about her before this novella ended. She has a big problem and she's hoping that Leif can help her out with it. There was a new addition and I'm interesting to see if this new character shows up in book 3 of the Existence series. I loved seeing things from his viewpoint but I had a hard time following the story from Existence and Predestined from memory. It was mostly some extra chapters to Existence & Predestined from Leif's point of view. This book was very different than what I was expecting.
